The Camp Story
Camp Watch Limited was founded by industrial designer Justin Jakobson with the hopes of bringing just a soupçon of the style and vibrancy of Los Angeles to the wrists of discerning watch enthusiasts.
His twenty-five year career in design spans a transformative era: from the last cassette players and tube televisions to today's mobile devices and immersive experiences, earning design awards and fifteen US patents along the way.
The name itself is an homage to the summer camp of his childhood; not only a hugely influential experience but one that resulted in lifelong friendships and inspirations. His first watch was a Swatch Yamaha Racer GJ700 from the 1985 Spring/Summer collection.

The Fieldtimer Manual Wind is the design studio's debut watch; a product of more than 18 months research and development. A study in classic proportions, it embodies a colorful and distinctive mid-century aesthetic brought to life by modern industrial processes. A stylish, versatile take on the classic field watch genre, the Fieldtimer combines traditional jewelry making craft in the hand-polished enamelled lacquer dial with highly precise manufacturing methods like Micro Metal Injection Molding. What looks at first like a traditional field watch, upon closer inspection reveals truly unique details that will continue to surprise and delight for years to come.
